Jeyes completes sale of belpac

June 2011

Jeyes Holdings Ltd, has sold its packaging business, Belpac to the Shilling Group, owners of recycling social enterprise ‘Save-a-Cup’, for an undisclosed sum. The sale reflects Jeyes’ growth strategy of focusing on its core areas of specialist cleaning, toilet care and freshening fragrance products.

Belpac has been owned by Jeyes since 2002. The company employs more than 50 people with net sales of approximately £2.5 million in the last financial year.

Bernard Daymon, Chief Executive Office, Jeyes, explained: “Jeyes is renowned for its cleaning and freshening products and our transformational growth strategy concentrates on this core area of our business.”

He continued: “‘Belpac is a successful business with a stand-alone position within the Jeyes Group. Given our new strategic direction, I am delighted we have found a new owner who is committed to invest and grow Belpac along with supporting the talented and experienced leadership team there.”

Jeyes has recently launched an innovative extension to its already successful Bloo range of toilet cleaning and freshening products. The new Bloo flower rim introduces flower-fresh fragrance with effective toilet cleaning in a stylish cage-free package.
